Chinese Famille Rose Snuff Bottle with Stand, Jiaqing
A Chinese famille rose snuff bottle with a 4-character mark of Jiaqing and of the period with a hardwood stand. The snuff bottle features five mythological figures. It has a pink tourmaline stopper carved as a flower, and it has a spoon.
Dimensions are: 2 1/2 inches tall X 1 inches wide, 6.4 cm X 2.5 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: There are two chips to the base as well as two minuscule glaze pops to the rim and minor wear to the glaze.
Provenance: From Mrs. Hillebrand in Chicago, Illinois, by descent; acquired in China and Hong Kong prior to the 1960s.
