Chinese Famille Verte Vase and Two Wine Cups

Qing dynasty, rouleau vase, enamel decorated with woman and child in outdoor setting with iron red seals and leaf, 5-1/2 in.; near pair of bell form wine cups, each with flared rim and tall splayed foot, enamel decorated with branches, blossoms, and poetic inscriptions with iron red leaf, tallest 3-1/2 x 3-3/8 in. diameter - Provenance: Collected in Shanghai, China prior to 1902 by Frederick and Margaret Haskell; By descent in family to Frances Arnold; Private Collection, Newnan, Georgia - Note: Objects from this personal collection were acquired in Shanghai, China between the years 1862-1902. They were collected by Frederick and Margaret Haskell. Mr. Haskell was the owner of the Japan and China Trading Company. The couple retired to Lake Weir Florida in 1902, bringing these collected objects with them to the United States and they descended through the family to current day. Condition Report: both cups with slightly reduced rims (areas of unglazed rims), one wine cup with chipped enamel to flower, one wine cup with firing flaws to foot, some abrasions, pin holes and glaze voids, character text enhanced with clear glaze/enamel (likely as made), other minor enamel loss and surface wear; vase some enamel loss and abrasions, some pin holes, light wear to base
