Chinese Inside-Painted Snuff Bottle by Zhang Tieshan

A Chinese inside painted glass snuff bottle by Zhang Tieshan. The snuff bottle has a glass stopper and each side has an inscription with 2 seals on each side. The bottle depicts 2 figures drawing in the dirt on 1 side, and a figure driving a pair of donkeys towards an encampment on the other.

Dimensions are: 2 inches tall X 1 3/4 inches wide, 5.08 cm X 4.44 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: It is in overall good condition.

Provenance: From the estate of a surgeon in the Washington, D.C. area. The items were acquired from various auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's prior to the 1990s.
