A Chinese inside-painted snuff bottle by Zhou Leyuan dating from the Republic period. The snuff bottle has an inscription and 1 seal, and depicts a fisherman in a rainy landscape. The snuff bottle has a coral stopper with no spoon.
Dimensions are: 2 1/4 inches tall X 2 1/4 inches wide, 5.72 cm X 5.72 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: A few miniscule chips to the rim, 2 cracks to the body.
Provenance: From the estate of Mr. Mullen in Upstate New York. Mr. Mullen was a world traveler and collected from different countries from the 1950s to the 1980s.
