Chinese Jade Avian Figure Plaque, Shang Dynasty

A Chinese carved jade plaque of a mythical avian figure dating from the Shang dynasty.

Dimensions are: 2 1/4 inches tall X 1 inches wide, 5.7 cm X 2.5 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: There is age appropriate wear including one chip to the tail.

Provenance: From a private New York City collection. Purchased from a Hong Kong antique store in the late 1980s by the collector's father.
