Chinese Jade Bi with a Pair of Chilong, Song Dynasty
宋代 玉螭龍璧 A Chinese jade bi disc with a grain pattern on 1 side and a pair of Chilong on the other and dating from the Song dynasty.
Dimensions are: 3/8 inches tall X 2 1/4 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Age appropriate wear including minor chipping.
Provenance: From Mrs. Kwan in Northern California, by descent from her parents, who collected in Hong Kong over 40 years ago. Two similar white jade Bi with Chilong carvings from the Song Dynasty are illustrated in _Zhong Guo Yu Qi Jian Shang_, Shanghai: Shanghai Scientific and Technical Publishers, 1996, pg. 23 (fig 1).
