Chinese Jade Carved Ruyi, 18th Century
A Chinese jade carved ruyi wand dating from the 18th century. The wand features lingzhi branches and a stylized ruyi head.
Dimensions: 13 inches tall X 3 inches wide; 33 cm tall X 7.6 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: It is in good condition.
Provenance: From Mrs. Blackwell in Seattle, Washington; the piece was purchased by her aunt and uncle over 50 years ago.

A similar green jade ruyi can be found in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, accession number 02.18.491 (fig. 1). Similar examples have been sold at Christie’s Hong Kong on November 29, 2017 as lot 2926, and Sotheby’s New York on March 18, 2008 as lot 183.
