Chinese Jade Fu Shou Pendant, 19th Century

A Chinese jade carving of a bat on a peach dating from the 19th century. The jade has a brown skin.

Dimensions are: 3 inches tall X 2 5/8 inches wide, 7.6 cm X 6.7 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: There are several small areas of damage, as well as natural variation to the stone. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is. Provenance: Acquired in 2014 from a prominent collector in the Monterey Bay area. From the private, premier collection of a gentleman in Cleveland, Ohio. The items in the collection were acquired starting in the 1970s from auction houses including Christie's, Sotheby's, and Bonhams, as well as from various private collections in the United States.
