Chinese Jade Gourd Snuff Bottle, 18th Century
A Chinese jade snuff bottle dating from the 18th century. The jade has been carved in the shape of a gourd with leaves and beans. It has a stopper.
Dimensions are: 3 inches tall X 2 1/4 inches wide, 7.62 cm X 5.72 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: The lid is missing and the spoon has snapped off and is stuck in the opening of the bottle.
Provenance: From the estate of Mr. Mullen in Upstate New York. Mr. Mullen was a world traveler and collected from different countries from the 1950s to the 1980s.
