Chinese Jade Scabbard Chape, Warring States Period
A Chinese jade sword scabbard chape "bi" dating from the Warring States period. Each side features a carving of a taotie mask in a border of arrows.
Dimensions are: 2 1/4 inches tall X 1 inches wide, 5.7 cm tall X 2.5 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Age-appropriate wear.
Provenance: From Mr. Lee in Houston, Texas. Items were collected by his father over 30 years ago.
