Chinese Jade Vase with Dragons, 17-18th Century
A Chinese jade hu vase carved with dragon and Shou medallion roundels dating from the 17th or 18th century with a wooden stand. The vase has a pair of garuda handles.
Dimensions are: 4 3/4 inches tall X 3 inches wide, 12.1 cm X 7.6 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: There is a large crack to the neck and minuscule chips to the rim.
Provenance: From Mr. Zaun's collection in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Zaun lived in Taiwan with his wife from 1967-68 where his interest in Chinese history and artifacts blossomed. Lots 100-105 from our Nov 14, 2020 auction were from Mr. Zaun's collection.
