A Chinese lapis lazuli plaque carved with a 3-clawed dragon clutching a flaming pearl and dating from the 18th century.
Dimensions are: 3 inches tall X 4 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: It is in good condition.
Provenance: From a Northern California estate. A doucai plate of the same size with Caihuatang mark and the same design, dating from the Jiaqing period, is illustrated in _Qing Dai Ci Qi Jian Shang_, Shanghai: Shanghai Scientific and Technical Publishers, 1994, pg. 201 (fig. 1).
