Chinese Mammoth Tusk Carving of Sheep With Chop
Likely 18th or early 19th century, Qing period. The piece having excellently carved details of sheep nursing foal, signed with large chop at the base. Accompanied by its hardwood carved stand to fit the base. The piece is sold from the collection of Mr. Garnet Watson of Honolulu, Hawaii and was purchased in the 1920s from The Fong Inn Company of Honolulu, Hawaii.
