Chinese Marbled Ceramic Vase, Tang Dynasty
A Chinese marbled ceramic vase with handles dating from the Tang dynasty.
Dimensions are: 8 inches tall X 6 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: There is a repaired chip in the rim.
Provenance: From the estate of Dr. Heinrich Briega, who purchased the vase in the 1960s in Parker-Berut. A similar marbled vase from the same time period but without handles sold at Christie's Paris December 15, 2010 lot 270. This vase was published in W. Cox's _Pottery and Porcelain, Vol. 1_, New York: Crown Publishers, 1966, pl. 33 此瓶收录在1966年出版的Warren Cox所著”The Book of Pottery and Porcelain” 第一卷(fig. 1).
