A rectangular ceramic brick with rectangular recess bearing a high-relief robed and nimbate Buddha figure seated cross-legged beneath a canopy; hands held inside voluminous sleeves; detailing to the face, ushnisha and robes. 3.4 kg, 30cm (11 3/4"). From a Hong Kong collection of Buddhist art formed in the 1990s.
