Chinese Ox Bone Carvings of Emperor & Empress

A vintage Chinese pair of ox bone carvings. Finely carved to depict the Emperor and Empress. The emperor holds a ceremonial sword and the empress is depicted holding a ruyi scepter and wearing a headdress. Fine and detailed ink / scrimshaw decoration. Both signed on the undersides. The figures rest in rosewood stands. Height on stands: Emperor: 13.75" tall, Empress, 12.75" tall.
