Chinese Paktong Opium Lamp 19th Century

The base is decorated with a series of Chinese characters. The removable top portion is pierced with open fretwork and a series of precious objects. The wick is held by a brass fitting that resembles a Chinese coin. The glass shade is pressed glass with a Chinese mark molded into the side near the top. CONDITION

There are no breaks or cracks. The bottom edge is either dented or has a manufacturing flaw. There is solder on the top where the glass shade rests. There is residue in some of the recessed areas and under the wick collar. The piece that holds the wick appears to be corroded, although it might just be cakeed - on residue.
