Chinese Peking Glass Lotus Snuff Bottle, 19th Century
A Chinese Peking glass snuff bottle dating from the 19th century. The snuff bottle has a glass stopper and a spoon. The body of the snuff bottle is decorated in blue, green, yellow, red, and brown against a white ground with a scene of a landscape with a lotus pond, a bird, a bat, and a fisherman. There is a 4-character inscription on the bottom.
Dimensions are: 2 7/8 inches tall X 1 1/8 inches wide, 7.3 cm tall X 2.9 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: There is a small crack in the rim and a seam in the glass on each side.
Provenance: From a Los Angeles, California estate.
