A Chinese pewter statue of a deer holding a lotus dating from the 19th century. The deer is decorated with small flowers. It stands on a trapezoidal base featuring Shou medallions, bats, and vine tracery.
Dimensions are: 40 inches tall X 23 inches wide, 101.6 cm X 58.4 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: It is in overall poor condition, including a repair to one antler and to the underside of one leg. Areas of oxidation throughout.
Provenance: From a private Houston, Texas estate.
