Chinese Porcelain Snuff Bottle with Crickets, 19th Cent
A Chinese famille rose porcelain snuff bottle dating to the 19th century with a wooden stand and agate stopper. The body of the snuff bottle depicts 5 crickets among greenery.
Dimensions are: 2 in. tall X 1 1/4 in. wide; 5.1 cm tall X 3.2 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Minor wear to the glaze, the cork is detached from the stopper.
Provenance: From Mrs. Przecha in Southern California. Her late step father was a military doctor and was stationed in Tianjin in the 1920s, these items were acquired during the his stay in Tianjing.
