Chinese Qing Dynasty Hu-form Vase
粉彩鹿耳尊
Chinese, late 18th-19th century. A famille rose porcelain pear-shape vase, the rim with a ruyi border, above two antelope head handles, rising on a high footring. Decorated with multiple figural and narrative scenes including a birthday reception in the paradise of the immortals, Shou Lao, the God of Longevity with a peach as he is being rowed in a boat, a scholar sitting in nature, and maidens with fans; ht. 17.25, dia. 15 in.

Condition Report: Small firing crack to base. Firing cracks to handles. Paint loss and spots of pitting to the surface. Very thin lines on each of the deer antlers that fluoresce under blacklight, but nothing visible with naked eye.
