Chinese Red Glazed Porcelain Snuff Bottle, 19th Century

A Chinese red-glazed porcelain snuff bottle dating from the 19th century.

Dimensions are: 2 3/4 inches tall X 1 1/4 inches wide, 7 cm X 3.2 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: There is a large chip to the rim as well as cracking. The lower body has a glaze chip.

Provenance: From a private Northern Virginia collection. Collected in the early 20th century by the current owner's grandparents during their time stationed in China working for Standard Oil.
