Chinese Republic Period Box with Ming Dynasty Jade
A brass box from the Republic period with a Ming dynasty white jade insert. The brass box has turquoise inserts and dragons carved into the sides. The white jade has a carved dragon surrounded by vines.
Dimensions are: 2 inches tall X 5 inches wide, 5.08 cm X 12.7 cm. Weight: 350 grams. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: It is in good condition.
Provenance: From Mrs. Kiang in Boston, Massachusetts. The lot was acquired by her mother in Taiwan prior to the 1980s.
