Chinese Sancai Phoenix Tail Floor Vase, 19th Century
A Chinese sancai phoenix tail floor vase dating from the 19th century. The yellow-ground vase features landscape scenes with pine trees and many courtly figures. There are geometric bands with scholarly objects around the mouth, shoulder, and foot. The bottom has a 6-character mark.
Dimensions are: 28 inches tall X 12 3/4 inches wide, 71.1 cm X 32.4 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: There are scratches throughout, glaze skips, and significant iron pitting.
Provenance: From a private Long Island, New York collection.
