Chinese Scholars Box from 1937

A Chinese wooden scholar's box from the early 20th century. This box contains paper and tools for scholarly writing. The top has a sliding panel under which the paper is kept. The box also opens in the middle with a hinge and has paper, calligraphy brushes, a blue and white ink box, seals, a metal ink box, an ink stone, a water, dropper, brush rest, brush washer, and red seal ink.

Dimensions: 10 1/2 inches wide X 3 3/4 inches high; 26.7 cm wide X 9.5 cm high. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: It is in overall good condition, but has been used.
