Chinese Silk Embroidered Jacket, 19th Century

A Chinese embroidered silk jacket dating from the 19th century. It features dragons, bats, and birds flying over a wave and rock motif. The back has a ranking badge of a quail facing the sun on the right, denoting the eighth civil rank. Gold thread and the forbidden stitch are featured throughout.

Dimensions are: 25 inches tall X 46 inches wide, 63.5 cm X 116.8 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: There are significant areas of pulled threads as well as staining and wear. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is.
