Chinese Song Dynasty (960 CE - 1279 CE) carved jade model of a Tianlu (the male form of a Pixiu with single antler) protective mythical beast, its head raised with an attentive gaze above its curled up body. 5.25" H x 11.25" W x 9.25" D. Removed from a private residence at the Pierre Hotel, ex acquired from Throckmorton Fine Art Inc., February 9, 2012.
