Chinese Song Dynasty Jian Yao Bowl
CHINESE SONG DYNASTY JIAN YAO BOWL: Song dynasty (960-1276 AD), blue crackle glaze Jian Yao bowl, unglazed foot. This bowl reputedly was damaged and repaired while on loan at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York when a person swung a bat at the display cases holding multitudes of Chinese ceramics in the early 1970’s. Overall measures 2 ¾” x 6 ¼”, sold with export box 7 ½ h. x 8 ½” x 8 ½”. Condition: Sold with all faults.
