Chinese Tang Dynasty Painted Pottery Horse

Chinese, Tang Dynasty. The pottery horse standing foursquare, its head straight forward with a closely cropped mane, the brown painted saddle on a blanket with remains of decoration. Approx: h.10.5" w. 10" d. 3.75". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Morton & Kathleen Sachs of Louisville, Kentucky, purchased as a group of seven for $4,400 from TK Asian Antiquities (Williamsburg, VA) in 2000 & 2001.
