Chinese Tang Dynasty (ca. 618 to 907 CE) large, hollow pottery minqi tomb figure of a Qilin mythological creature with rider, descending from Albert Shaw (1857- 1947), Author, Historian, Editor of the Review of Reviews, member of the American Antiquarian Society)old accession/ inventory number on base, faded traces of red and green paint, 11 1/4", chip on ear, minor chips on base, (not tested with thermoluminescence)
