Chinese White Jade Carved Axe Plaque, 18th Century
A Chinese white jade plaque dating from the 18th century. The plaque has a carving of a Chilong and a dragon on a stylized axe blade with a taotie mask.
Dimensions are: 2 5/8 inches tall X 2 inches wide, 6.7 cm tall X 5.1 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: It is in good condition.
Provenance: From a Dr. Wang in Northern California. Dr. Wang is a retired professor from the school of business at California State University.
