Chinese White Jade Deer & Lingzhi Carving, 18th Century
A Chinese white jade carving dating from the 18th century. The jade is carved on one side with a deer holding a lingzhi and a flowering branch in its mouth. The other side is carved with a fox or canine holding a long sprig of lingzhi in its mouth.
Dimensions are: 3 inches tall X 3 3/4 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: The petals of the flower on one side are chipped. The piece is in otherwise good condition.
Provenance: From a Washington, D.C. collector.
