Chinese White Jade Plaque, 18-19th Century
A Chinese white jade carved plaque dating from the 18th to the 19th century. The plaque features a flower in the center with a geometric pattern surrounding it. The exterior of the plaque features 2 beasts.
Dimensions: 2 3/4 inches tall X 3 1/8 inches wide; 7 cm tall X 7.9 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Minor chips to the edges with natural seams and inclusions in the stone.
Provenance: From Mrs. Hillebrand in Chicago. Her father-in-law purchased these items in China and Hong Kong between 1935 and 1970. Lots 79-90 from our March 14, 2019 auction were from the same collection.
