Chinese White Jade Plaque with Deer, Early 19th Century
A Chinese white jade carved plaque dating from the early 19th century. The plaque is carved on 1 side with a 4-character mark, and on the other with a scene of 2 deer and a bat.
Dimensions: 2 1/2 inches tall X 2 1/4 inches wide; 6.4 cm tall X 5.7 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: It is in good condition.
Provenance: From Mrs. Hillebrand in Chicago. Her father-in-law purchased these items in China and Hong Kong between 1935 and 1970. Lots 79-90 from our March 14, 2019 auction were from the same collection.
