Chinese White Jade Scholar, Ming Dynasty
明代 白玉高仕擺件A Chinese white jade carving of a scholar and attendant with lingzhi dating from the Ming dynasty.
Dimensions are: 4 1/4 inches tall X 2 3/4 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: It is in good condition.
Provenance: From Mr. & Mrs. Yuen in Minnesota. Mrs. Yuen's father, Chen Kangjue, operated an antiques shop in Yan'an Road, Shanghai from 1940 to 1966. This collection was returned to Mr. Chen Kangjue and was brought back to the United States with his descendants 30 years ago.
