Chinese Wucai Vase with Flower Decoration, 19th Century
A Chinese rouleau vase dating from the 19th century. The vase depicts red quatrefoils on a white ground with 4 frames of flowers on the body and 2 frames on the neck.
Dimensions are: 16 1/4 inches tall X 4 3/4 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Minor glaze chips and a few chips to the rim.
Provenance: From the estate of Mr. Kwok Woon Kun, formerly a shareholder of Wing On Company, a well-known department store group in Hong Kong and Shanghai. This collection was collected in Hong Kong prior to Mr. Kwok's death in 1969. His collection was shipped to Canada in 1981 and was inherited by Mr. Kwok’s daughter and grandson. Items from the same collector were sold at our September Fine Asian Art & Antiques auctions, 2019.Â
