Chinese Yellow Ground Famille Rose Vase, Republic
A Chinese yellow ground famille rose bud vase dating from the Republic period. There is a 4-character mark on the bottom, and the body depicts lotus flower and vine tracery.
Dimensions are: 5 inches tall X 2 3/4 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Overall good condition.
Provenance: From the estate of Mr. Kwok Woon Kun, formerly a shareholder of Wing On Company, a well-known department store group in Hong Kong and Shanghai. This collection was collected in Hong Kong prior to Mr. Kwok's death in 1969. His collection was shipped to Canada in 1981 and was inherited by Mr. Kwok’s daughter and grandson. Items from the same collector were sold at our September Fine Asian Art & Antiques auctions, 2019.
