Chinese Yuan Dynasty Celadon Stoneware Dish

East Asia, China, Yuan, ca. 14th century CE. A lovely longquan celadon stoneware dish with underglaze decoration that includes a peony blossom at the center and radiating petals along the surrounding curved walls. The form is attractive as well, comprised of a shallow bowl, a raised rim, and a concave foot. All but part of the base is covered with beautiful celadon glaze of a soft sage green hue. A lovely example that appears to be signed on the underside (exterior wall). Size: 8.875" in diameter x 2.125" H (22.5 cm x 5.4 cm)

Provenance: private Los Angeles County, California, USA collection, acquired by descent from the owner's father, collection amassed between 1950 to 1990
