Chinese carved shoushan stone figure of a seated luohan, one of the first 18 luohan, the figure has an emaciated body and is shown holding a pearl of wisdom in one hand, while the other hand rests on the body of a dragon, the louhan wears an ornately decorated and draped robe, incised with scattered foliate designs, and embellished with parcel gilt and faux gems, he is seated on an auspicious cloud form base, figure 5.75"h x 3"w x 2.75"d; overall with base 7.25"h x 5"w x 3.75"d.
