Chinese embroidered silk robe fragment, executed in silk with silk embroidery, having three bands of floral scrollwork above a band of butterfly and lotus roundels surrounded by peaches, bats, and prunus blossoms, above a band of lapping waves centering Penglai, the island of the Immortals, and interspersed with flaming pearls, fish, lingzhi, bamboo, prunus, the endless knot, and peonies, overall size with shadowbox frame 59"h x 97"l x 2"d.
