Chinese iron red carp motif planter, Daoguang mark

Chinese iron red and white planter, of conical form, decorated with a band of faux bois at the rim above two bands of carp and pond weed divided by a gilt band, with lion's mask and ring handles on either side of the basin, the whole tapering to wave, leiwen, and faux bois bands, having an iron red underglaze six character Daoguang mark at the rim, 10.75"h x 13.5"w. Condition: Drilled for use as a planter.
