in the 18th-century style, in two parts, the upper section with a broken-arch cornice over a pair of doors with screen panels, on a slant-lid serpentine base, the fold-over top over a bank of three drawers, raised on bracket feet.

Condition Report: In overall very good condition. Very tight and solid, with minor rubbing and wear and scattered losses to the polychromy throughout, most notably to perimeter edges and some losses to the inside work surface. Two of the drawers in the interior of the desk stick/do not slide freely. All others work well. Locks present; no key. A pull for a pull-out support slide is detached but present. There is a shallow splinter loss along the back edge of the base, at the wall, about 3/8" wide by 3" long.
