Crafted in maple with wood veneers and engineered wood, this late 20th-century slant front desk reflects Chippendale and Colonial Revival styling. The hinged drop lid opens on retractable wooden support lopers to reveal a fitted interior writing gallery complete with arched mail cubbies and four small utility drawers. The lower case contains three full-width stacked drawers accented by antique-finish batwing backplates and swing bail pulls. The piece rests on a shaped cutout apron terminating in classic bracket feet.
