French silver chocolatier, 18th century XVIII. Smooth pear-shaped body, engraved with the Marquis Colonel's coat of arms, rests on three high shoe feet. Lids decorated with circular ribbed friezes, with hole to stir cocoa powder, with movable lid and lateral support in winding. Spout with decoration next to the shell and fruit body, with side handle in faceted ebony, later manufactured. With Paris contrast in use from 1756 to 1762, mark of the "maison commune" of 1761, and goldsmith's mark difficult to read, possibly "P F". Restorations and minor defects.
