Chris Batista and Rich Faber Steel #12 Double-Page Spread 12-13 Original Art Group of 2 (DC, 1995). Queen Tech'tra makes a grotesque first appearance on this double-pager which showcases Maxima of Almerac beset by the techno-organic Krenons. Elsewhere on this same ship, Steel is engaged in a fight for his life and a race against the clock to save Maxima before her time runs out. Ink over graphite on two DC Comics Bristol boards joined on the reverse with tape for an overall image area of 21.5" x 15". The leftmost board has a velum overlay attached to the top edge with tape on which the inker embellished half-visible shadows behind Maxima's glass tubing. Adhesive residue, discolored production tape in the top and bottom margin, editorial markings, and whiteout corrections. Signed by Batista in the bottom right and by Steel's co-creator Louise Simonson in the bottom left. In Very Good condition.
