\Artist: Chris van Dijk
Technique: Oil on canvas on panel\Signature: Signed
Chris van Dijk paints in a style influenced by Impressionism and by the Romantic movement, calling his work “Romantic Impressionism”. Internationally Chris is one of the most renowned Dutch / French Impressionist painters in the world. You will find his unique paintings in Art Collections worldwide. Exhibitions of his work are rare because most of his work is sold instantly. Since 2005 he has to decline all invitations to exhibit. Registered artist at the National Service for Art History in the Netherlands (RKD) Professional artist Chris van Dijk - 1952 - is born in Den Bosch ( Bois le Duc) , The Netherlands ( Pays Bas) . Since 1978, Chris has devoted his life to creating his paintings, which, true to their Impressionist inspiration, focus on plein air scenes: at the beach, in the forest, or in the beautiful wine and poppy fields of Burgundy and Dordogne. He has been living and working in France since 2002. Like the works of Berthe Morisot and Mary Cassatt, the paintings of Chris van Dijk often feature women and children. The scenes look unposed as if the subjects were caught unawares. Most of the time, they look away from the viewer, engrossed in their daily activities, such as playing in the sand, walking in the woods or picking wildflowers. They seem to be at home in their beautiful natural surroundings. Chris van Dijk’s paintings, like the works of the Impressionists, are a celebration of the beauty of nature and life. His wife Ankie Mooiman is managing the website of Gallery France and keeps the permanent online exhibition updated for the impressionist paintings of Chris van Dijk and for her own Art Deco antique online sales exhibition. Claudia Moscovici wrote the biography of Chris van Dijk. Claudia Moscovici is one of the most famous art critics in the world (Ranker) . The painting will be carefully packed and sent by trackable courier
