Image size 7.1 x 5.6 cm (oval). Later lid in 14 karat gold, marked "PH". Provenance: "Kunstschätze der Sammlung Dr. Max Strauß in Wien". Auction catalogue for Glückselig & Wärndorfer, Vienna, 1920, Plate 82 (with illustration): the catalogue has the first suggestion that the sitter might be identified as Caroline Jagemann. - Danish private collection (until 2002). - South German private collection.
