[ translate ]

Beautiful decorative object by the well-known Dutch designer Christien Meindertsma, published by design label Thomas Eyck.
Contemporary Dutch Design!

About the design: Christien Meindertsma designed a permanent installation of linen pigeons for Texture, the flax museum in Kortrijk, Belgium. The installation is about the carrier pigeons used for espionage during the First World War, some of which were captured and held in the building that is now the museum.

The pigeons are handmade from Kvadrat fabric (wool) and filled with flax seeds.
The pigeons offered here have the colors yellow (446) , brown (356) and green (946) . (the color codes refer to the colors on Thomas Eyck's site)

Use as a door stop is possible, but they are actually too beautiful for that!
