A set of 12 Antique Silver Plated Dinner Cutlery (Serving Forks and Spoons) , dating from around 1895. These cutlery are executed in the classic French Filet (also called "Chinon") pattern and for style and era we think made by the silversmith Charles Halphen. Halphen was a business partner of Charles Christofle in the 19th century. All cutlery has its visible contrasts of authenticity. it reads Métal Blanc and anagram (Butterfly) .

This item is more than 140 years old, it is not new and used in several celebrations, it shows slight signs of wear on the back of the forks consistent with its age. It is precisely this patina that proves its age and is at the origin of its interest as its images worthily reflect.
