Luc Lanel (1893-1965) and his wife Marjolaine (1897-1976) occupy a unique place in the decorative arts of the first half of the 20th century. Luc Lanel, hired by Christofle in 1920, designed pieces that were equated with Art Deco, developing remarkable lines of silverware, including for the Transatlantic passenger ships.
